Clive, Harry and Jean have developed into a formidable
directorate with complimentary skills and a similar passion
to service the needs of their clients.
AIB began its operation from a small office in Cape Town
Centre in 1983 with two members of staff. In 1991, the
business purchased a property in Tamboerskloof and the staff
complement swelled to 24 in an attempt to accommodate the
growing needs of the clients.
In 1995, AIB built their own offices, AIB House, in Green
Point and established itself as a brokerage capable of
managing, with distinction, the relationships with its
clients.
AIB's position in the insurance industry was reinforced by
the results of the 1997 Professional Management Review (PMR)
Survey, in which AIB was rated as the third best short-term
corporate insurance brokerage in South Africa. In the period
that has followed, AIB has successfully held this position
in commercial and industrial insurance and has been
consistently rated as 'excellent' in the areas of
administration, accuracy of documentation and customer
service. In addition to these categories, clients rated AIB
as outstanding with regard to an 'awareness of short-term
insurance trends and market conditions'.
AIB currently maintains a client base which boasts in excess
of five thousand policies and provides superior service and
advice in all areas of short term insurance.
Throughout AIB's history, the brokerage has enjoyed in
excess of 20% growth in turnover year on year. This growth
has been as a result of providing personal attention to
clients and a commitment to meeting their needs as well as
maintaining excellent relationships with insurance
companies.
AIB relocated to Century City in 2001. AIB has uniquely
positioned itself and is committed to servicing the needs of
clients throughout the greater Cape Town area as well as
continuing to contribute to the South African business
community.
